Damn, I think the G20t is going to be taking a hike
I think I got more than enough cars, I got my G20t, my SE-L, and my Buell Blast.

The Buell may be on its way out, I don't really want it anymore. The SE-L will stick with me no matter how many times I need to fix it.

As far as my G20 goes, I love it as a daily driver, but I've really been considering an upgrade something 2000 and up, still manual gearbox and fun, but more grown-up. I've been working on fixing up the G20, for example, paint, powdercoated wheels, new headliner, A/C fix (a must), new shocks, and so on.

Well, I decided to take it in to get the A/C checked. I cannot find the leak that is causing the R134 to run dry, so I handed it over to a local shop. Just got a call, I have a leak in the evaporator AND the condenser, pretty much a double blow on any chances of fixing the A/C.

I think that's the final straw with this car. It's an excellent Chassis for a street tuner or track car, but I already have one of those. I think it's time to sell it off.

You can find that shit used pretty cheap I thought? I know I pulled my A/C out of mine but am on the way to putting it back in .

well i looked up the labor time for a P10 an evaporator pays .9 hrs & for a P11 it pays 1.0 hours.

my guess if it's anything like the Altima all you do is remove the glove box to get the evaporator out case & all . Why not get a used evaporator & condensor?

i'm sure there are guys who ripped out their a/c parts for weight reduction on G20.net, maybe you can score some parts for cheap

I got both used from a junkyard for less than $50 total. Since you don't have to deal with rusty bolts like us in the salt belt, it should be a pretty quick install. Just make a mental note what the hardline fittings are (male/ female) as I found some differences across the years. Get a new O-ring kit, new receiver-dryer for $12, and throw it all together. Should work like a charm and for less than $100 you're back on the road.

I'm in the same boat.

My P10 is mechanically excellent, totally trustworthy for a cross-country trip. However, it's starting to get haggard cosmetically. The clearcoat is peeling on top, the leather is cracked beyond hope, and the A/C has become almost useless. Probably needs some PITA part like a condenser.

I can live with it, but it's lousy to carry around friends, family, or dates.

I'd trade up, but it's so reliable and great for RallyCross, Winter, dirt roads, etc. There's something to be said for keeping a beater around.

Honestly, I don't think it's worth my time. I know there are TONS of G20s at local junk yards, but I really don't want to spend a whole day on this or more. Let alone, the other stuff the G20 could use.

I think I'm going to sell the G20 for $2000 on the 17s w/bald Azenis or $2400 on a brand spankin' new set of BFG's and powdercoated rims. Sell off my motorcycle as well, I should have some money to get an 02 or 03 Maxima 6 Speed.

for only a couple of hundered bucks ( maybe ) tops you're going to sell it?

i mean i could understand if it needed a new tranny or something, but an evaporator is super easy to replace and a condensor easier.

well, anyway what is it ? P10 or P11?

P10.

Honestly, it's only the straw that broke the camel's back. I need something a bit more grown up, as my daily driver. The front shocks need to be replaced, the car looks pretty rough on the outside. I'm in the middle of giving the car brand new tires and freshly powdercoated P11 wheels.

The car as is (Yes, I'm selling it with my SE-L's rims):

OR (this is an example), I have 5 brand new BFG's sitting on my porch and 4 P11 rims that are going to the powdercoater next week ($400 extra):
