I always get it at Walmart. The powder mix or the liquid both work the same. I bought about double what was recommended and mixed it very rich. It worked Amazingly. If you are doing it at home, don't use your personal washing machine, pick up a $5 big blue baby pool from walmart, and use that, then rinse with the garden hose. That's how I did my carpet and it worked well. I did the seat covers in the washing machine, and my machine is still stained to this day.

Nope. Washing machine method used, too. Just follow the directions on the box, but rinse more than recommended (until no dye is present in the water).

i would highly suggest asking an upholstry pro these questions first. JPMCoachworks | Automotive Redesign Studio - Genunine Alcantara, Suede and Leather Products, Services and Complete Interior Design - JPMUSA.com these guys are on nasioc and dont seem to be the type to walk around questions and only answer in ways that will possibly make them money. just tell them you are looking for advice and are dead set on the cheapest option. maybe they will have a better dye option instead of rit. theres no harm in asking first.....maybe they will simply try to sell you crap......or maybe they will realllllllllly help you out.

but please for the love of god remove the seat covers, dont try to do the entire seat lol.

Maybe try talking to a re-upholstery/restoration shop. They could point you in the right direction.

I've never used the red, so I don't know how great it is. I know that the black worked 100% perfect (looked like factory) to dye both my seats and my old stained up carpet in my 7th gen civic. Literally made both look brand new again.
