The bushing for the shifter? You have to take the cat off and then remove the heat shield, if you have the car on a lift I have been able to remove the rubber hangars for the exhaust and sneak the heat shield out

i mean saving all the metal shit.. if its anything like pressing a mount in or whatever its prolly just better to do the sway bar style one..

Mike... contact serban.... the shifter bushing was his idea. I have one on my car works great.

The metal sleeve inside the rear mount is bonded to the rubber. You're going to have to cut or grind and sand away the rubber until you get to the metal sleeve. You'll also need to re-use the backing plate which will take a little work as the rubber is bonded to it too.

You're going to have to cut the metal sides that hold the mount as well, because they are going to get in the way of the new mount.


At that point, it's not even worth it to try and reuse the mount. You'll need the sleeve out of it, but you should just use 4 wide washers instead of messing with the old mount.

And you need to hope the studs are long enough to go through two washer and the urethane. I don't think they are that long. Maybe 94SunnyGTSsr20ve can shed some light on that?

Mine bolted up with no issues and no use of the metal sleeve and has been working fine for 3 years now.

mine worked just great without any problems for 3 months now n going..yeah you do have to take out the shield. just take off all the bolts that hold up the shield than remove the shield, everything else you can unbolt its not that hard if you can put a motor mount than you will have no problems doing this..

Did you use the exact same product like the mentioned one ?
Because I am sure that this picture is 100% just a generic one. The part number 7.1109 is just the little bushing that's close to the transmission.

This is true.That is a generic picture.
The round one is the one you get.It goes up by the transmission.
I know this because I ordered on off ebay a while ago.
I had to contact the company selling it ,and they were clueless.
I Always go by the part# not the picture.Especially on ebay

If you are wantin to upgrade the one up by the shifter,get the ES swaybar bushing from Murrays/GofastDept.(BenFenner posted great pics of it)

You have to order them in pairs,so you can sell the other on here if you dont have a second car to use it on.
I works great,if you do the front round one at the same time,your car will shift like new

So what did you buy ? Only the the bushing next to the tranny?
Cause the people here think that this is a kit for the round one bushing PLUS the one sitting under the shifter (which could be replaced by the 9.5101 part number). This is the only confusion here.
