Non Lsd gear oil??
I am doing a clutch on nx1600 (NON LSD tranny).
I dont have ny MT-90 available locally, and am tying to get the car back on the road by Monday.

My question is this...Is there anything else I can use for this tranny that is safe?
Can I use something else since it is not lsd?

Is MT-90 still best to use in LSD and NON LSD trannies,or does it matter if its LSD?
I have used Royal Purple Max gear before in the LSD trans in a pinch....but

I ws hoping to get something at Advance or Autozone if possible.
HELP Please

Sure. Plenty of threads for you to find by searching that have alternatives.

Not really. The main reason we all use the fluids we use in our transmissions is because of the brass synchronizers. The Redline fluid really helps with the LSD, but it's also very kind to brass. You'll want to use something like that in the non-LSD transmission as well.
Like I said, plenty of info by searching.

Your best bet IMO is to try to find some Penzoil Syncromesh. But there are other options.

yeah,yeah,search,haha
I am not a noob.LOL
I was hoping for some fresh input on this.
For some reason,I thought the LSD had something to do with it,too.
I knew the brass syncros are the reason we use the non corrosive stuff, but failed to mention that.
Thanks Ben
I can probably find the syncromesh around here somewhere.

GL-4 or less. Nothing GL-5. NOTHING! That will destroy the brass.
