Thread: Synthetic oil guidelines

Do the same guidelines for regular oil apply to full synthetics?

For example I worry about my motor because I never take long trips anywhere. Does synthetic oil have the same problems with acid forming on short trips as a conventional oil?

Seriously, it takes me 10 minutes to get to work. 5 of them are spent warming up my car haha

I don't know about acid, but water will accumulate and you'll want to get rid of that by driving far/long enough to have the water fully evaporated out. Same as with conventional oil.
