^ thats a good idea those kinda issues are better if you have 1 or more ppl listening on the outside of the car while someone else revs it to determine where the issue is coming from

I had that rattling once - it was one of my cam retainers had come loose, but it was typically just on startup and rattled at idle for a short time then was fine - yours sounds the same, but only in decel which is weird.
