has anyone dealt with jdm engine corp?
so i found these guys on ebay. they sell longblock ve's (no harness or ecu)for 599 plus shipping which is 120 to me, they are located in texas. the thing is that i keep asking for pics but they say that they dont take pics till after they recieve payment which i think is pretty shady.

Like I tell everyone that asks this question:

Stop buying motors just to throw into a car. Take it apart, throw some fresh bearings and seals in it, then put it back together. I'd rather pay the money up front for a fresh install, than drop a cheap motor in to find out that it has a blown headgasket or rod-knock.

i think theres a place in paterson nj who was good prices for ve's which i think is 750 for the longblock and there motors are pretty good. do a bit of research on them but do not, i repeat do not order from the place in kearny nj. but, if you really want a good motor, you cant beat the quality of mikos motors.

cliff, i cant agree more. if you're already doing all that work in swapping out the motor, you might as well go the whole yard and do everything right from the beginning

ya well i plan on installing new bearings, headgasket etc. the thing is that the dude sounds shady. here is the email i got when i askd for pics.

Hi,
we receive more that 200 emails asking for actual pictures and we don't even get 10 of them ordering and it is really hard for us just to pay one person emailing actual pictures, we have eBay, web site, phone & walk in orders and if I sent you the pictures and another client walk in and bought that engine then I have to another engine's pictures and email them to you, once we have the order we email pictures and if our customers have a valid reason not to take that engine then we change with another one, we are running a business here, not a scam and we ask you to trust us, even if I email you the pictures, what is the guarantee that we sent you that engine but if you trust me and the company then you will be served same as our other valued customers.

Thanks

David
