That's happened a couple of times with my ignition wire popping off or something similar.. Are you sure everythings all plugged in? Be honest, Were you driving it @high rpm's when it happened? I would check to see if there isn't anything leaking then I would check the spark plugs for damage if the first things are good..

I was highway driving. The car was about at 4000 rpms light throttle. Checked all fluids everything was good. Car does have spark. Plugs were fine all of them had light tan coating on them. I am not sure how to check the injectors, I don't have a compression gauge.

If you heard a "Pop" it has to be something that popped off.. I would check for anything that is unplugged everywhere. check nuder the coil and what not

i agree, check the coils, plug wires, i would pull the distrib cap and check the rotor button and cap. pull the plg wires check those and the spark plugs too, just for safe measures

I checked the coil it was fine, exterior appearance. Everything else was plugged in. I ohm check the injectors everything passed. ....However..when I got to the distributor cap I heard things jumping around. When I finally got it off there was plastic shards everywere and a screw.......the screw that holds the rotor in place. It wrecked havok under the distributor cap, rotor was bent and everything. I checked that screw 2 times before this happened and it was tight....I don't understand how it came out... I'm heading to the auto parts store for a new one now.
