What happened here?
Pulled off my clutch this week due to a very low engagement and this is what I found. Only about 1,500 miles on this setup. Any idea what caused the hotspots and uneven ware. You can see outside of the hotspots the original finish is not touched on the pressure plate and the flywheel still has the machining marks. Clutch looks pretty glazed aswell.

Also put in my new ACT clutch and for some reason I have a good pedal feel until about half way then it just lets go and hits the floor, any idea what could cause this? Air in the system?

i'm gonna say did not properly break it in

and on your clutch pedal feels good until halfway down it lets go....probably the adjustment is out ...

try adjusting your clutch MC at the clutch pedal

Bleed the line correctly?

Halfway dropping to the floor is air.

What is the pinkish looking stuff around the bolt hole in the lower right corner of the flywheel pic? If that was between the FW and PP, could cause your problem.

Yes, should only be like 20ft/lb

Same thing I said, odd that its in the same place on both pieces too.

I took off the slave from the trans when I dropped it and it was bled before correctly. Could air still get into the system? Just to be clear I have pressure then when I get about half way through the push it gets soft until it hits the floor.
