Wayne did his gas tank question, now mine...

For the first time ever (actually the second time I noticed) that if I take my gas cap off while the car is running it will completely shut off. I have done this numerous times in the past and nothing ever happened. All this is around my idle issue. I am assuming the two may not be related, but why would the car do that?

my best guess is a drop in vacuum / fuel pressure.

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? Sounds like fuel pressure unlike my issue.
