Transmission leaking gear oil
I just got done with my motor swap and i swapped out transmissions from a b13 LSD to a 96 G20 non LSD transmission. the first problem we had was that we had to make a custom axle for it. and now its leaking gear oil from the driver side part of the transmission where the axle goes in. I ordered a new half seal for the G20 transmission and hopefully this fixes the problem. any input or advice on this would be more then appreciated. thanks

Probably the seal, they technically should be replaced every time you remove the axle, but 3-4 times of removing the axle is probably the most it can handle (or age).

your using the non LSD axle correct? If not, then there is your problem. The LSD axle wont even go all the way into the trans.

Just making sure as its pretty common knowledge but just checking, lol

Oh good point, missed that part. It's passenger axles that are the same for both.

well he did say custom axle. So i guess we can assume he is using the non lsd trans section at the very least. But just thought i would ask

Be careful when you pull the old seal and install the new one not to scratch the surface the seal sits on or it might leak again and be harder to fix .

Very important^^^
Also make sure to only press the seal in until it is flush with the case(it can go in farther, but not recommended)
