Thread: EDM pistons vs USDM pistons

So, I was wondering, are the EDM SR20DE pistons better than the USDM ones?

And are they sought after alot?

There is no special EDM piston.

You can get JDM=EDM piston at 10 to 1 ( known as the flat top piston )

You can get JDM=EDM=USDM at 9.5 to 1. ( has a slight dish )

or the bad boy

SR16VE piston 11.8 to 1 compression ( in a DE )

Okay, I meant the flat top :P.

You can get $60 for a set of good used flat tops if someoe wants to get 11 to 1 compression in a VE but they will have to get valve releifs machined into them.

Wont 20v pistons get 11:1 in a sr20ve?
