Need a hand for a how to
Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has the two banjo bolts that attach the high pressure hose on both sides. I need the thread pitch and bolt size of those two bolts in order to finish up a how to I'm working on.

Thanks guys!

Alright GOT THAT INFO. Now I have to ask this one:

On an nx2000 and se-r, the pressure hose is mounted atop the psgr ft strut tower before it goes to a hardline back down to the rack. Is there function in this? The reason I ask is for this how to, if a person was to just run a shorter line from the pump direct to the rack, it would clean up the engine compartment big time. Is there a reason it's so high, like it has to be for air to get out of the system blah blah blah?

Also wondering the bolt size for the top banjo bolt, as it looks much smaller in size than the bottom one (bottom one is a 24mm wrench I belive and the top is a 14)

I've wondered about the function of that ever since you brought it up. I can't think of a function other than easy access to that joint. It might keep air bubbles up high, but I don't know if it serves that function or not. It's a good question.

if it were a ford (knowing ford engineers) I'd say rip er out and change it, but nissan eng's are usually pretty good with functionality of their things. That seems like a strange waste of space and quite a bit of mfg $ just for an easy access point. I think perhaps it does serve a purpose of some kind, I just can't think of what that is right now.

I know there are fins on the hard-line seemingly for cooling (or heating?) of the fluid. Maybe the extra hard-line way up and out of the way of the engine heat and over by the top vent of the hood also helps cool the fluid and gives more fluid volume to the high pressure, oft-used side of the system? *shrug*

It could be to stop too much engine vibrations/movement from getting to the hard line. I would imagine that if the high pressure hose were to be much shorter you would get movement of that hard line. And the high pressure hose isn't the most flexible hose either. I have also noticed that that top mount on the strut tower has rubber grommet things between the bracket and the bolts. Thats my 2c.
