Brake Light(on cluster)
Ok for the past 2 days on the way to work my brake light comes on. On the way home the brake light doesn't even flicker(it stays off). My check engine light is already on because of my flywheel otherwise id say its the altinater, but no lights are flickering/dimming or anything like that. Its the work week so I haven't had a chance to pull out the alternater and get it tested. Could it be a bad ground or what???

Low on brake fluid?

Check the alty by removing the negative battery ground while the car is idling.

Check your brake fluid. Make sure it's on full.

If it is not the fluid level, it might be the handbrake in need of adjustment.

Yup that or even the switch. My switch keeps on bugging me on the new car, even when handbrake is down.

I took off the negative cable and the car didn't even flicker.

It might be the brake fluid, the whole time I had the hood up I wasn't even thinking about looking at the fluid until after I closed the hood(it was raining like hell). Then I poped it open for a quick glance and it looked about half full/empty. So ill get some brake fluid and fill it abit. One of the calipers must be leaking because the brakes were done not so long ago.

I also thought it might be the ebrake switch so I didn't use the brake for anything. When I left the house this mournijng the light was off, I drive 5feet the mofo kicked on.

I had a gum wrapper stuck down in the ebrake switch area that was causing this on my B14 a long time ago.

The fluid is a little low(at the mark where the res splits) but it not below the "low" mark. I'm still goin to add fluid tomorro and check my brakes. The thing that gets me is its only in the mourning on the way to work. Any other time of day the light stays off.
