Did you take the rail out to change the injectors, if you did i bet you hooked your fuel lines up backwards.

Just make sure your main grounds are good. As those grounds are very important as well, the ones attaching to the intake manifold.

No, I left the rail in when installing the injectors. I can hear the fuel pump run and pressurize when the ignition is turned and the fuel lines are hooked up correctly.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I was under the impression that the injector harness grounded to the Intake Mani via the 2 paired terminals that bolt to the top of the #2 and #3 runners.

You are wrong, its not for the injectors. Its for other sensors, distributor, ignitor, ecu main grounds. All are tied into those.

Your injectors function by having a constant 12v positive source to them, then the ecu itself grounds them to fire them.

The grounds you mention are very important and you need to make sure they are all connected properly. That will cause no start because nothing that the ecu controls will be functioning.

So unless you grounded out your injector power somehow i dont see why one day it would work and another not just from switching injectors. Make sure all your grounds are connected right.

Start with the injs which I know are fine, give them direct power from the battery, make a little inj plu harness and listen for them to click.

Then get a noid light and see if the harness is getting power by having someone swing the key.

Then take off the fuel line coming from the filter and swing the key to see if fuel is coming out.

This light anyone's bulbs?

I havent had a chance to get into testing anything else yet. Wanted to scope the FSM a bit and have some dinner before I dig into the P10

Thats would be the dist going bad or the exhasut cam cracking.

The exhaust cam makes the dist fire which causes the injector to fire.

So if you leave the key to on postion take out the dist and turn the the dist it will cause the injs to fire.

So I took out the dizzy with the key to ON. The injectors would fire every 90' and I could feel the fuel pulsing through the feed line every 90' as well. Removed a plug and tested for spark with the same method with the same results; Spark every 360'

I then double checked all grounds and connections and saw nothing at all out of place.

Try again to start it to no avail.

So I pull codes again and get a 55 - all clear.

WTF is going on here?

-Miko, I dont have a Noid light and am not entirely sure how I would test the injector harness/injectors with a DMM

Help

Do you have a test light? Would be another way to see of you have power to the injectors. Connect one end to battery + or - depending on if your checking for ground or power and then pick at the connector and it should light up both ways. Hope this makes sense. Dmm you can check resistance of the imjectors to give you a clue and also check harness by connecting neg and pos probe and see if you get and volt and ground out the neg to get some continuity

swap feed and return lines. Maybe you put them backwards

I never removed the rail or lines. Car ran great prior to the dead injector

Help

Anyone willing to help me with a quick how-to on testing the ignition and injection system with a mm? Thank you so much

Tearing it all down again tonight and reinstalling everything.

Hope I can finally figure this out....
