Teins installed wrong? Pics inside.
Is it me or this springs are installed wrong? I was looking at my brothers car the other day and I noticed this (The car came with Teins when we bought it) . They were already installed and I'm not near home to go check mine and I can't remember.

The front ones are the same thing. The rubber part with the most coils closer to each other are facing up.

/\/\i think the tight coils are supposed to be up. thats the way i installed them on my road magnets. iirc it doesnt matter which way the coils are mounted, but i could be wrong

If you think about the physics of it, it doesn't matter either way - the point of the tight coils is to create more resistance so it doesn't bottom out as easily, and it doesn't matter whether it's on top or bottom.

The wide spaced coils should be on the bottom. They will move the most during compression and represent less moving unsprung weight.

Check Shawn's Holy Suspension Thread (HST), something about this should be on it regarding the Hypercos. There was a large discussion about this at the time of the last group buy and it was determined that you could install the Hypercos whichever way you wanted, but, as Old guy said, you can reduce unsprung weight by moving the tighter coils to the top.
