Thread: Going to look at a NX2k tomorrow, advice?

I think it's a hardtop with a probable aftermarket sunroof...

Grrrr. They ruined a perfectly good hardtop with that sunroof thing.

Make sure you go over the rust situation well. I see that you are in Ohio. Rust sucks man.

Check the bottom corners of the front fenders. Crud likes to build up there. It turns into a rust zone. I"d also check underneath the battery tray area. When acid eats up the paint that area likes to rust out.

Make sure to look for frontal impact repairs. If you look into the wheel well and can see into the engine through the seems that means it was smashed at some point. I'm pretty sure my NX was hit on the passenger corner at some point. If I shine a light in the engine bay I can see it in the wheel well, lol. Also my rad support has signs of repair.

Yeah I really hope it's t-tops lol if not i just hope they did the sun roof really good lol

And I wish I had the vin to get the carfax on it before hand :/

I've seen about 5 sunroof nx's up here already.

well the nx turned out to be junk, maybe good to buy and part out, had a clean dash lol

Found a 94 sentra se-r though. has a rebuilt motor, apparently 10:1 pistons and after market rods, header, intake, lowered. Has some rust on the rockers but thats about it. Has 160k miles on it, needs a clutch and thats it. Got some pics, going to pick it up weds.
Front is in primer also, but there is a black se-r at the local junk yard that I'm gonna see if the front is good to swap on here.

Just gonna be a daily. Going to be doing body work on my car and its going to get repainted so now more winters for it

ECU is a 94 SE-R Manual Federal.
