Thread: Is this supposed to be capped off?

Going through my vacuum hoses since I have symptoms of a vacuum leak and I see this is capped off. Is it supposed to be capped off or does it go anywhere? I looked everywhere and couldn't quite seem to find anything it would go to..

As of right now it is capped off but it just looks like it goes somewhere..

i think it goes to a solenoid of the EVAP system but if i were you i will cap it off and rev it up!

Oh I'm sorry it IS capped off is the thing, I should have stated that... It just looks like it goes somewhere and with the guy that had the car before me I wouldn't doubt he didn't know where it went after disconnecting it and all that.. UGH!

Yes cap it off, otherwise it's going to leak metered air. I noticed even newer motors that don't have the old styled EVAP system still have the nipples but capped off.

Vadim is correct. I caped mine off. Works fine still.

out of the 4 highports i've had they've all been capped..
