Which trans is better for my ve sr16 or DE?
I currently have a sr16 on my car right now, the gearing are pretty short. 1st gets me nowhere, everyone keeps telling I need longer ratio so go wit a DE. Should I or stick with the 16?

European P10 FWD gearset:
1st: 3,0625
2d: 1,8261

JDM P11 4WD, with Viscous LSD:

1st: 3,3333
2d: 1,9545

It really depends on what you use the car for. My VE'ed B14 has a SR16 tranny and its my weekend road warroir so the short 1st gear I can deal with.


And there are waaaaaaay more tranny options as far as gearing

Keep it, we get 400 a tank with the 16 tranny With all that short gearing. Just get a nice tune and your set.

I have a sr16ve tranny mated to my sr20ve and I LOVE it. Who cares about where 1st gear gets you if your fd is getting you up to your power-band fast?

I actually changed from a sr18 lsd to it recently, and the sr18 lsd is even shorter ratio than se-r lsd

We dont have very long highways here but on the toll I do feel like car needs a 6th gear, so if you do lots of high way driving you may not like it...
