First Time For Everything
In the world of used SR20DE-DET-VE-VET motors and parts, I generally dont see new things. Well this morning I did, I pulled out a tranny sensor out of a JDM LSD SR20DE tranny and the gear was BLUE.

Here is what I have seen

SR16VE, B15 and P11 come with the RED speedo gear

B13-B14 and P10 come with the GREEN speedo gear.

The SR16VE box and B15 box come with 4.437 FD RED speedo gear

The B13-B14-P10 and P11 box come with 4.176 FD GREEN

So what the hell is up with this BLUE speedo gear.

I want to know if any of the Australian, Japanese or European guys have seen this before and if yes what car was this in. Just trying to figure out what gear box I have.

Blue speedo gear has 36 teeth.
GREEN speedo gear has 35 teeth
RED speedo gear has 34 teeth

All three together

OK here is some more info from looking at the tranns.

It has a sticker on the gear lever for production year 95

The trans looks like a B14 trans but they did not drill out the tranny sensor in the front which is how all JDM newer style trannys come.

The trans has a B14 style mount, this is the mount by the battery. The one with the weight on it.

Now as fas as I know the only cars that run this mount are

B14, N15

The B13 and N14 run the same mount but without the weight.

That is odd, why did they add the counterweight to the B14 ones?

(b14 has the prothane mount)

The one in the pic is green right? (It's hard to tell.)

Does the part have OEM Nissan markings on it or maybe it's aftermarket?

That counterweight is a fibration dampner. The thing is if you put on a older B13 one you do not notice any changes.

The damn B14 has that huge vibration dampner on the cross member also. If you remove it there is no change and that thig is like 10 pounds.

Yah old Fords and whatnot are filled with random hunks of metal for vibration damping. Soooo obnoxious.
The G20 has one floating on rubber on the front. 15 lbs. of uselessness.
