Well the car has been driven the past week by my dad, and is doing just fine. Hopefully it stays that way.

X2 sometimes even though she doesn't know a thing about cars they just offer some sort of advice that makes perfect sense.

My mom always pokes fun at me asking when I am gonna get rid of "that old car".

I raced her in her Saturn Sky and she does not poke as much fun as she used to. That is funny though, lining up with your mom. Both manual gearboxes, one car being 12 years old than the other.

On topic, glad you got it working again! Watch yer shifts now!

Right! I'm replacing the shifter bushing as soon as I swap cars again. That coupled with being plain tired is what I think caused this.

You have to pull the cam to get the magnet down into the oil return passages. That's where I found my missing shim on my VE. If it's being driven all this time then I'm sure that by now it's already down in the pan. You may find it if you pull the pan next time you do an oil change.

And on a side note, his mom was the one that got him into his SE-R lol. I'm pretty sure she knows a thing or two about cars.

Oh, I need to look at the route the oil takes again and double check when I change the oil.

Yeah, she's a good cook too. And she autocrosses and beats me and my dad. Basically I have the coolest mom ever.
