Thread: Anyone Here Use These Rods

I know of the company skat, but anyone tried these rods. I am going to call and see what the weight is on these. Price is good.

Ive also wondered that too for a long time. Ive heard of SCAT brand in the V8 community, but idk if there rods are any good. They look almost the same as Eagles, so id imagine theyre on par with those, but Ive never personally used them, so im in the same boat as you.

Only time i have heard about scat is when it came to beetles.

Alot of my friends use skat rods in there mustangs we ran a whole season with a car that made 980hp and never had a problem . With me seeing that i would have to say that for that price they have to be an ok product .

Dsm guys have been using them for years, I've seen a couple make around 600hp. I've heard the same company makes them for eagle and scat, then each company does there own machining.

Check this rod out from Scat for the SR20DE, scrol down the page and you will see the SR20DE ultralite rod. I have no idea how much the weight is but. If the standard Scat rod is about 514 Grams then the Ultralit must be in the 480 Gram region

I know of Scat but I dont know of any SR20 guys using their rods./

I'm using SCAT rods in my VE, they were recommended to be by Bigtoe. His 'track' motor using them and has never skipped a beat. Here's his complete setup:

Dre there is a 240 up here by me who is using them. That's what I was told by the owner. The car is not a high whp but, it runs well.
