Thread: Quick question about SE-R radiator fans.

I have a Mishimot radiator from a B13 SE-R in my P10. I didn't want to hack up my radiator fans, so I when slim fans. They were cheap and easy, but they died in under a year.

My question is are the B13 fans dual stage like the p10 fans. The p10 fans have a 4 wire harness and kick on when the AC comes on, then also when the Temp sensor tells them to.

I'm going to start scouring local junkyards, but SE-R's are pretty rare around here, are the radiators for non SE-R's similar?

I think the NX radiator is a bit thicker IIRC.

Were they the Mishimoto slim fans that failed or cheaper aftermarket ones? I am just wondering.

thats really quick for a set of fans to die....I have some cheap fans I bought from O'reilly auto parts and thy have been working strong for a couple years

They were the mishimoto fans that died.
I know the NX2k and SER rads are the same. Does anyone know if they are dual stage? How many wires are in the harness?

I can hack up my P10 OEM fan shrouds to work, but I hacked off the plugs to make the mishi fans work. I'd like a clean simple OEM install and I think the B13 fans would be the best bet.
