These fucking things rattle 85% of the time. Never used them myself but I have heard stories and seen them get loose and rattle after years of use.

I would love to see it on a car without a turbocharger since the turbo naturally quiets the car a good deal to begin with.

i will be useing it on my car because i NEED drone free and quiet. long trips and my only car serving as fun and daily requires silence. at $100, a can afford to replace it every 2 years or so......im ok with that, assuming it does the job thats intended.

I know you will let us know how it works out! I wish you best of luck. I like the idea of it. A cutout inside a muffler! Fantastic! I just hate to see it go to waste when it rattle because that is very annoying. Internal, exhaust rattle is crap.

I hope it works well. When are you looking to purchase?

Ok I read some more about these. It all depends on how strong that little spring that holds the valve closed is. I have heard in videos on youtube an Evo rattle it and a Nissan Titan rattle it. Both of those have pretty high flow rates but still, it rattles and sound bad.

Right now, there is a $25 rebate from dynomax. I saw this listed on summit racing website. Dynomax Performance 17156 - Dynomax VT Mufflers - Overview - SummitRacing.com

What car is it going on?

You can go on YouTube and hear the rattling on different cars. Trucks, Evo's, Firebirds, Mustangs, etc...

I would add more resonators like mentioned but I have zero idea to how much room that WRX's have in the under carriage. Then again, coach does not seem to mind if it fails, it will fail since it is only $100. My cheap ass would be salty spending $100 and having it fail.

I like the Varex one with the remote because that is electronically held by a motor. That and those Aussies are just so damn cute.

If you press forward, I am highly interested.

the rattle is supposedly in an early batch and dynomax has installed new springs and they have even exchanged the rattle prone units for the newer ones.

that vid on youtube is from a guy in that thread i posted and he got a new one from summit for free.

edit; orderd.
