Has anyone ever successfully installed a VAFC2 ?
I bought a VAFC2 thinking it would work like an SAFC2, but it doesn't work for **** because VAFC2 does not have a way to change from the map to maf. However the maxima guys prefer to use them, and they have no issues. Is it possible I can hook up an N60/N62 maf, and possibly make this thing work? Anyone had luck with the VAFC2?

From what Im understanding is that it was designed for map based cars only IE hondas.. The Maxima guys are using them to tune for larger injectors and all the threads I found pointed to them leaving the stock maf hooked up to the stock ECU.

So therefore....cant tune your MAF with it, it is only for tuning the injectors from all the info that I found. I could be wrong but I did alot of snooping on Maxima.org.

The maxima guys use the stock maf, so obviously it will work with some maf based cars. I want to know if it's the n60 maf or the ecu that allows the VAFC2 to work in the maxima.

Alright i'm feeling pretty good now. Just jumped in my car which has an N60 maf, and SAFC2. I changed the sensor type to pressure (MAP), and I was able to make the car rev smoothly by changing the hotwire settings.

However I have an SAFC2, and my friend has the VAFC2. I will have him hook up his N62, and I will go play with the hotwire settings on the VAFC2. Pretty sure I can make this work!

I'm using one on my GA, and the above is correct. You can only use the stock MAF with 6 in 6 out setting. You cut the MAF wire and have it go to the VAFC then to the ECU, but you cannot change the MAF. You have to wire the MAF/ecu as the instructions tell you because that's how the VAFC modifies the signal for injectors.

You can also use it control VVL, but there are far better options out there than VAFC. On the other hand you can pick up VAFCs for cheap as hell off honduh guys.

Edit: There are no hot wire settings in VAFC. Only pressure settings as in MAP only. Hotwire is what a MAF sensor is.
