Pics of my voltmeter gauge installed
I just put it where the ash tray used to be, and used a piece of carbon fiber from an old junk hood for the trim. Tapped it into the cigarette lighter wires, the orange and black striped wire for + and the black for -. The lighting sort of matches the oem gauges. Not bad for about 12 bucks shipped from ebay anyway...

interesting... How did you mold the fiber around the gauge like that?

Looks like a chrome bezel on the gauge, so its just a reflection.

Nope, its quite easy to read, in clear view. I did tilt it a bit to make it easier.
