Thanks for the advice guys. I think I'm gonna pass but I'm gonna go drive it right now just cause I've never driven a classic SE-R before. LOL.

I'm surprised a 94 has 5th gear popout. Does it also have the high-port (earlier) engine? If so, it's a super-early 94. The consensus is that Nissan solved the 5th-gear issue by the 93 model year, so I'd be wary of that.

The headliner is fixable. Nissan's paint from the 90s is junk, so that's no surprise.

I suppose if it's straight and rust-free (check the rockers, door hinge area, and under the core support) it might be a good candidate at the right price. $1800 is not the right price though.

I'm not surprised about the 5th gear pop out one bit.

Things got significantly better in 1995 but the problem was not completely fixed and certainly 1994 cars had the same failure rate as the earlier models.

And it's sold! Oh well, I guess it just wasn't meant to be. If it would of had a healthy tranny I probably would have bought it yesterday. Also, it did have a lowport. The search continues.

On a positive note, the high pressure hose for my AC and an oil filter arrived today so hopefully this weekend I can do a full tune up and get some cold air blowing again in my SE.

Ah it's always a bummer to go after a car and see it sold. I had my heart absolutely set on a 91 Jetta GLX that was sold as I was driving to check it out. Small loss though, I've got the Sentra now

So this car is for sale again. Different lot. This guy is asking $2400. The tranny has been replaced with a tranny from a 92 G20, so no more 5th gear pop-out. That tranny should be a LSD tranny correct?

I checked it out yesterday and took it for a test drive. The car felt good, pulled hard, and shifts smooth through all the gears. My first time ever driving a B13 Se-r. I must say it did put a grin on my face.

The body is straight and I didn't see any rust. However, there are some things that are making me think twice....

- Headliner and visors will need to be replaced.
- Sunroof doesn't want to slide back.
- Rear spoiler is broken (lifts)
- Paint is original but sun faded in areas. It will need to be re-painted.
- It was pulled behind a RV so it still has all that wiring and crap.

The molding on the windows has seen better days and it looks like on the rear 1/4 windows they used some kind of black silicone or something to fix them. Looks like crap and I know replacing that molding/windows can get expensive and almost impossible to find OEM replacments.

At $2400 I wouldn't have even pulled over unless that thing was mint, in all honesty.
