car stalling and burning oil
i have a sr20de with about 75k miles on it and latly its been stalling out when its cold. like if im cusing and push in the clutch or stop at a light it just turns off. i have to heel toe most of the time to keep it alive and its also been burning oil. any advice guys?

not idling properly = idle air control valve, most likely.

burning oil = generally means time for a new motor or rebuild; are you sure it's burning oil, not leaking it somewhere?

the Iacv was replaced allready and i can small it burning oil when i step on it

Are you sure it has 75,000 miles? Was the engine abused?
I have a DE with 200,000 and doesnt burn or use any oil.

yah it has low miles but i beat the life out of it. and im prity sure the motors timing is over advanced. but im burning like 1/2 qt of oil in 1,500 miles.

1/2 qt in 1500 miles? haaha. I wish I had that problem

where did you get this motor from? I sold my old rebuilt DE (had about 40Kmiles when i sold it) alittle over a year ago and told the buyer the IAV needs to be changed. Dont know if he ever did tho and didnt burn oil when i took it out the car.
