but a car with a distributor miss firing in the rain is almost ALWAYS one of 3 things (cap, rotor, wires)
Ya the LS1's have individual coils, but they're not COP, they have about 6" wires running from the coil to the plug.
On these old cars water on the O2 won't cause a misfire, in that thread the water wasn't actually on O2, it was getting into the O2 sensor harness causing the issues. On these cars about the only thing that will cause a miss while raining is what's already been stated. Wires, cap, rotor.
