Thread: check engine light???

I was pulling away from a traffic light and a check engine light came on

Trans range sensor ckt malfunction
(PRNDL input)
.
I don't have an auto so why would it have a prndl input (park, reverse, neutral, drive, low)
.
I got it cleared and it didn't come back on in the 4 mile drive home, what would cause that?

Will it cause any running problems?

Did you or was it at one point converted from an auto to a 5spd?

P0705 is for the neutral switch.

The car was a 5 speed the whole time, it didn't come back on in the 200 miles I drove it tonight

Every once in a while the reverse lights don't come on is this related?
