rust issue...
i posted this in the b13 section but no response there so...

this rust was never there turns out there was supposed to be a small peice of rubber to block some sort of access point on the pillar between the back of the drivers door and the front of the rear passenger door. and i've had the car since september '09 so god knows from all the rain falls and car washes the water just seeped on and sat at the bottom of my door jamb..it really ticked me off but it's the only spot of rust on the car :/

now i know it's rusting from the inside out...now i wanna put the car in a bodyshop but how exactly would they go about fixing this

More than likely, they'll hit the junkyard, cut out a healthy piece from another car, and weld it in.

would it be possible they just cut out that rusted part and weld in a new good piece of metal, i see that being do-able

That's exactly what the person did to my car when I had my car worked on, I had a couple rust spots, so he cut it out, then welded on a new piece of metal...looks good
But I heard that the rust spot will still come back either way

The rust will not come back, as long as they treat the surrounding areas, and find the source of the water penetration and seal it.

What he said. These are typical B13 spots. Look at the B13's that rust. They all rust in the same spots. The door jambs, the rear wheel wells and under the foot of each compartment (floor). The rest of the car(s) are well kept. Those are their weak spots. Fix it and keep on truckin'
