Roller rocker intake manifold on 99 low port engine.
Does anyone know if I can do this swap? It would really pull me out of a jam if so....

My jwt computer is tuned for 640cc mototrons, that are in a roller rocker top feed fuel rail, this setup wont work on my low port engine, and instead of changing injectors, tune, and rail, I have access to a RR mani and it would save a tremendous headache if this works.

Thanks for any input guys.

bolts right up but you will have to put on the heater piping form the roller rocker also

Really?!

I was under the impression the RR didnt have an iacv integrated into it. Everything bolts up same? All the vacuum lines, and emissions junk? What do you mean about heater lines?

The hard line water piping around the back of the engine needs to connect to the intake manifold with radiator hoses. Those hoses are different for the RR intake manifold is what I'm thinking. That's what I'm guessing based on Miko's post anyway.

oh, yeah, forgot about those.

so do you think everything else will be plug and play? no cel?

why would you want to put a RR manifold on a 99 motor for anyway. Waste of time.

I could understand if you were putting the 99 motor in a RR chasis 00-02 but you seem to be putting a RR intake manifold on a 99 car for no other reason than to do it.

You will get a a few cells, like I said waste of time

I dunno, I'm always throwing away 99 intake manifolds and putting my 1994 manifold in it's place. I have no experience with RR intakes.

But if its a waste of time, and ill get CEL's, then ill just have to do it the correct way.

Thanks for your help guys.

Jerimiah, don't give up that easily. I think your idea of using the top-feed fuel rail and such is a good one. Try to find out exactly what the specific issues are and will be. See what CELs you'll get and work from there. It might still work out. However it might make more sense to get a cheap top-feed fuel rail for your lowport intake manifold. If those are cheap (maybe $75?) then that would be good, no?
