Help with rear bushing install (B13) sentra
Ok so I am installing energy suspention bushings in the rear of my b13. I decide to only do the radius rod for right now. When I am putting everything together the radius rod is like a 1/2-3/4 of a inch off from the hub now. Do I really need to install all the energy bushings to get everything lined up? I sort of have a emergency that's why I have to rap this job up right now.

Just force it all together, probably easier to attach to the hub first then do the body end.

I was thinking of doing that but it did not feel right. The way I was tought is if the job was hard your doing it wrong. I also thought it would screw up the alignment. I will give it a try Obewan. Good to see all of the Sr community did not leave me hanging. I how ever am also having a problem removing that long bolt that goes through the hub to connect the pivot arms. Any ideas on how to remove it because it will not bang out and I don't want to cut it.

Cut it

The only other option is PB Blaster and a torch which won't work well on that rear stuff

Yes, the long bolt is a problem. Soak in PB blaster or some thing like that. If you can get it to turn you will get it out. A lot of times the inner sleeves on the bushings are rusted to the bolt, since they are in rubber you can't get enough shock to get them loose. Try shock from both ends of the bolt. Heat will also help but you may set the rubber on fire. It will take a while but it should come out. If you are in a hurry just get new bolts from the dealer then cut them out. Not a fun job, when I re-assemble them I use an anti-sieze on the bolts.

Are you installing the radius rod upsidedown? It is possible to do this. The radius rod should be installed so that the kink bends away from the tire and not towards it.

I will try that. Cutting will be a last resort. I was using propane but I am going to buy some map gas now.

Yea, I thought I did too, but it ended up being correct.
