Brake pad options
I just wanted to know if their were any other brake pad options out there other than (Bobcats, Hawk, axis utimates, and EBC green stuff) that provide great stopping performance. I really want pads from the same company in the front and rear of the B13 and I don't want to mix and match.

You can get any pad cut for any car. If we can get it done in Australia, surely you can get it done in the USA ? Select whatever pad material you want to run (Ferodo DS2500 for example is a pad size that isn't off the shelf) and have the pad cut to the right pattern/backing plate.

Never heard of that before,

I've had good luck with the monroe ceramics I just ordered my second set off of rockauto.com while they had the $40 rebate going on

Nissan OEM pads are real good for street use. Unless you track weekly, I would take them if the majority of driving is daily compared to pushing it.

I was just wondering this same thing. I finished some spirited driving and the front end of my car was smoking and smelling like an 18 wheeler going down a mountain...I don't think Nissan OEM is going to cut it if I keep driving like this, even occasionally. Are Bobcats the best bet?

Try Hawk HPS up front and oem rear. The fronts take most of the braking which is why companies often offer the fronts.

Hawk HPS...will do. I'm putting off the Nx2k brake upgrade until it's absolutely needed, but after tonight I think that might be sooner than later. I was literally worried that the car was overheating, the pads were smoking so much.

Oh man when you get the NX2k brakes on there, you will not have that problem again. Those are a very brake system for our cars.

I just did a quick search on the subject Topdog and found a ton of threads covering it. Even a few where you took part in them!
