Oil pressure gauge
OK so I bought an Autometer mechanical oil pressure gauge as well as the NISSPORT adapter here: http://www.sr20forum.com/reviews/showproduct.php/product/58

I tried to install it, but I am F**KING sick of wrestling with the nylon tubing, and am afraid of it breaking because it is so brittle. I also ended up buying another brass fitting kit because the ferules got distorted in the process of putting it on, and severed the line.

I looked at the electric gauge instead, but I can already tell that the big ass sending unit won't fit in that tiny little space that they give you by the original sending unit.

Can someone **please** tell me what gauge I should buy for my USDM HIGHPORT 92 SR20DE, or how to get the electric sending unit to fit?

Much appreciated!

^ use that for the mechanical gauge.

if you do decide to go with the elctric you will need to remote mount the sending unit and use copper tubing to do so or stainless like the mechanical would require

You can get the nylon tubing for $5 or so at any autozone. Look for the Sunpro brand ones. If you're going to get an electric one, the sender fits in there just fine, might be tight getting to it, but it fits.

Get the stainless line kit from autometer. It all hooks up really nice.

Only problem with the ss line kit, you cannot mount the gauge in a pilar pod, the ss line sticks out too much. If you have it mounted in a din panel, that's ideal.

You mean like this?

I'm sorry, I just haven't shown anyone my setup before. If you need help with the mech. water temp gauge, just ask.

i would NEVER have fluids running inside my car.

check out the prosport gauges. only complaint i have EVER heard was that they are hard to see in day light............but they now make clear face gauges. all of them are electric and pretty damn cheap.
