The rod bearings arrived from Gspec this weekend and I put them in last night.
The bearings on rod #3 had spun, and one was sitting right on top of the other. They were stuck on there good, and were a huge pain to pry off! I couldn't feel anything with my fingernail, but the journal is pretty scuffed up. Not nice and polished like the others. The rod cap didn't go back on as easily as the other ones either, so I'm not optimistic that this is going to last very long without knocking again. Since I had the parts and the bottom end was all torn apart, I figured I might as well give it a shot and hope for the best, but I'm guessing a JDM DE is in my future.
I'm going to try and get it buttoned up tonight, let the Ultra Gray cure, fill it up with some dino oil and a new oil filter tomorrow, and then fire it up.
