Alright, so I pulled off the pans and there were no little bits of metal sitting in there, so that was a relief.
I started pushing and pulling on the rods and sure enough, #3 had enough play to rattle up and down. Looks like I'm going to be ordering some rod bearings. I didn't actually get the rod cap off. Just as I got done taking off the two rod cap nuts, oil dripped directly into my eye, so I called it a night.
Question for you guys: should I just go ahead and replace all the rod bearings while I'm in there? Or is it one of those "if it ain't broke..." things?
