Thread: B14 Cable to Hydraulic Conversion

Hey guys I was hopping that I could get answers to a couple of questions I have about converting my b14 to hydraulic clutch. First of all could I just use a b15 clutch arm in my b14 transmission or would I need to modify anything? secondly for the slave cylinder, and clutch master cylinder I could just use the items off a p11/b15 right? And the same goes for the pedal could I use the one off of a p11/b15? Besides the lines for the slave and master cylinder is there anything else that I would need to do this? Also I heard that the b15 pedal will stick out more unless I cut into the fire blanket,which I heard has 2 holes to mount the b15 pedal assembly perfectly is that also correct? Any help would be greatly appreciated guys I'm tired of snapping cables and its time for me to convert the transmission to hydraulic this car is my daily driver and I need it to be reliable.

All the guys that I know that have done this say that the clutch pedal will always stick out more than the rest..

yeah, ive done 3 of them and modified the pedal for another guy on here as well and he did it without too much trouble at all with my modified pedal setup.

He purchased the whole setup from me, which i went to a yard in mexico and got, that included the pedal assembly from a b15 1.8 sentra, clutch master cylinder, lines, reservoir, and slave cylinder. He had no issues other than the fact the clutch pedal sat a little more towards your foot or up higher than the rest. Kinda like it comes out too far.

But this is a minor setback for an awesome pedal feel and its hardly noticable just looking at it and once you get used to driving it you wont even know its like that. Just gotta pick up your clutch foot a bit more than before.

In this write up the guy says that it sits flush once you cut the fire blanket and mount it in the holes that are behind it. Has anyone else had any experience with that?How to: Cable to Hydraulic clutch - SR20 Forum

oh and also when using this on a b14 trans i will also need to get the spacer that goes in between the slave cylinder and the trans mounting point right? How hard is that spacer to find?

the spacers are supposed to be there. They are on all the b15 and p11's

I think I have one of those spacers in my parts bin. Lmk if u need it

you still need the spacers. The part where the cable bracket used to attach to will now support the slave cylinder. You still have to use the spacer.
