Yes the lsd is the same part number b/t the b13/14/15 & P10/11

the gear ring is what needs to be changed

How is it you guys have so much transmission woes? All of the Turboed SRs down here have been running stock trans. for years w/out issues and get beat on almost everyday

I do not have the funds to fork out $1000 for the newer ones so I have to settle for the older types.

Now my questions.

3. If you have a Newer non-lsd transmission, can you swap the differential into them from a LSD one and have it work like that? Or are the cases different like the older style also?

The non LSD diff has a different ring gear. It uses only 8 bolts to bolt to the diff instead of 16. It also has a different offset/spacing from the diff. So it doesn't quite fit right on an LSD unit. All LSDs from and Sentra will swap into the P11 transmission. G20 diffs have a different final drive.

4. Can non-lsd older style be swapped into the lsd style case with the lsd differential without a problem? (assuming this can be done)

Not completely sure what you mean, but the RS5F70a trans from any new trans will swap gears into the P11 casing. The bell housing changes though. You CAN use the bellhousing from any B15/P11 trans (lsd and non lsd I believe) onto any LSD rear casing. the rear casing on all non LSD tranmissions are the same, regardless of the engine the transmission was attached to.

5. WHY does no one make anything for our transmissions!?! haha
I have talked to friends about having a cuff made that will greatly reduce gear spread and should give another 100whp holding capacity on the P11 transmission.

Might have some more questions later. And if this information has been covered else where, which I think the stronger part on the new transmissions has been I'm sorry.

Yes, and like Ben said, the transmission is made stronger through a different gear orientation and stronger case. The gears are still somewhat weak.

You've gotta start making serious power to break transmissions.

I was talking about putting p10 non lsd gear stacks into a lsd case with the lsd diff still in. Like I just broke 3rd gear in my b13, can i use a p10 non lsd gear stack in that case with the lsd?'

And the newer stuff I'm saying could you take a lsd from a p11 and install it into a non lsd p11? the whole final drive unit , not just the lsd or are the cases different?

ever notice the hump in the case?

Yes, if you have a non-lsd P10 gear stack, it will interchange with the LSD P10 gear stack.

The cases are different on the p11 as well, so you cannot put an LSD in the non-lsd case.

Ok, thanks for clarifying that.

And so you could do the same with the p11, put a non lsd stacks into the lsd case?

Yes, you could. But I haven't seen a non-lsd P11 trans in the newer case style. I've seen a lot of 99-00 transmissions, but they aren't the same. Only 2001 and 2002 P11 trans are the stronger ones.
