Thread: Good price on NX?

Is this a good price for an NX? trying to replace the b15 auto sentra with one.

what do you guys think? anything special to look out for?

LMK. im seriously thinking about taking out a loan, buying it, and selling the b15.

not bad, low miles

Seems a bit rich to me. Find one on the west coast, pay 90 bucks for a cheap flight and drive it home. No harsh winters ect. Seems like around here a decent car goes for about 2500. Seems like all the mid america cars are rotted out.
As far as what to look for.
On start up make sure there is no tensioner rattle. You want to be the first to start it. with the hood open.
5th gear works good? no pop out?
Speedo works?
dash cracked?
Wheel bearing make noise?
Headliner in good shape?
llok for rust behind the front fenders stut tower area
Take the oil cap off and feel the intake cam lobe when cold, a wear lip will be evident.
Bashed in oil pan. Every car from a heavy snow environment bashes in the oil pan on a berm, this startes engine of oil.
Water pump leaking. A common problem, not hard but not the most fun to do.
Other than that just general condition of the interior and exterior.

And I'll add to Fastspec list to check for a Clean title, T-top leaks, tires and paint.

Check it out REALLY good and if it is in good condition try to negociate the price.

NXs rust ALOT in the A-pillar area, on the OUTSIDE of the car. On cars with T-Tops the water collects there and rusts from the inside out. just figured I'd add that.

That particular NX has been in autotrader for quite some time. I'm assuming the price is why it hasn't sold, either that or some underlying issue not mentioned. I'd go check it out first. .02

that seems a bit on the expensive side. Check out side a pillars, rocker panels, in side the door where the pins and stuff are and if they let you check the rear strut mounts

+1 for checking the rear strut mounts.

I picked up my 93 NX2000 with 89000 miles in December for $2400. In beautiful condition...





Of course thats a private party price...a dealer usually asks for more...
