I feel your pain. I used to share a garage with my step dad and he was really an asshole about it. When I wanted to detail the car he'd make sure to drag as much dirt and leaves in as possible. He even got out the leaf blower one time and decided to clear the driveway. When I wanted to have the garage open for ventilation he'd complain about the leaves and dirt getting in.

Eventually he sideswiped my 200sx and got it bumper to bumper cause he drives like an asshat. That's when he cooled out a lot.

I'd take MN SR20's offer. Not only does it get you some inexpensive parts, it gets you a guy willing to help do the job (beer and pizza are nice bribes), and someone who "gets" the whole SR20 thing since your step-dad doesn't. Nice way to shoot the breeze man.

You can put jb weld in the webbing around where the axles go into the tranny, or if you cn get a ride, get it welded. Keep from worrying about cracking your case if you get any wheel hop.

I talked to MN_SR20 today and he's coming over tomorrow with the clutch. Looks like it'll be a good day. Food is always around when I work on cars, its usually my payment when I work on friends cars

Got my coffee, searching the NAPA (they're the only parts store within 20 miles, sadly) online parts catalog for axle seals. Should be a good day. Should give me time to debate putting both my Progress LCA brace and Whiteline 4point brace back on. After pulling them off, they do, in fact rub. Might have to ditch the Whiteline, it also rubs the exhaust.

in case anyone reads this, we put a stock PP with an ACT 6-puck unsprung because we were concerned the springs were going to let go on the other disc. Interesting combination and seems to grab a little harder (obviously). Seems like a decent options for a fully bolted on DE because mine would just barely slip with mine.

Its a little jittery on the take-off from 1st, but far less than my old NX with the ACT Xtreme pressure plate.

I'm liking it so far, except I effed the speedo cable. Gotta get one of those before my roadtrip in a few weeks.

So I have a car on jackstands for three days with nothing to do and my only means of transport is my brother or my shoes, leaving me with plenty of time to do stuff to the SE-R.

So, whats convenient to replace while the tranny is out? Anything that anyone else has done that they were happy they had done later?

rear main seal!

A stock B15 PP or the older B13/B14 one?
