a/c light on dash problem
does this light only come on when there is coolant in the system? I just swapped a/c compressors because the clutch on the old one went bad. Installed the new compressor and I had cold car for a day. I purchased the uv dye to find any cracks or leaks but so far I found nothing. The car feels to blow cool air for awhile but when the motor gets warm the cool air dies and gets warm. Does anyone know or can explain the light on the dash so I can troubleshoot this problem and get cold air in this 90 degree weather. Thanks!

You have an A/C warning light on the dash? On my B13, all I've got is a light next to the switch where I turn the A/C on. I have since removed the A/C and if I push the button, the light comes on because it just tells me if the button is pushed in or not. What light are you talking about? It doesn't sound like your system is working at all. It is pushing cold air when it is available in the outside. Did you check your fuses after the install?

I have to agree. I do not have a light on my dash either, not on my SE-R or NX...

on the b14 there are two bottons on the hvac unit one is for the circulate the air the other is for turning on the cold air. Whenever you push either in light will turn on in the middle of them.
my fuse under the dash is fine but i'm questioning the relay on the passanger side under the hood. My only idea that i'm at now it that is a bad relay or just there is not enough pressure in the lines to engage the system. The only problem with is that I put three cans in the lines yesterday and today there is no cold air. So either relay or leak? Tested the lines with uv dye but nothing is leaking under the hood. Is there any easy ways to check the lines under the dash? This sucks

is the compressor kicking on? when you replaced the compressor did you replace the drier and expansion valve and then get the system evacuated?
sounds to me like there is a clog (most likely in the drier) or the system was not under vacuum when you put the freon in
