Clutches and Your set up
As of recently on DEs clutch gave out on me(ACTHD sprung 6 puck) just proir to me boosting the damn thing. I think a spring poped out of the disc, it won't go into any gears while the car is on. Now that clutch set up was good for around 300 torque and ***ve out on my around 150wtq DE,that sucks....

With that being said I'm curious what set ups you guys are running with what clutches?

My Bolton DE 167whp, clutch set up was ACT HD sprung 6puck felt great until the spring poped out...

I'm curious to what everyone is using... DE DE-T DET VE VE-T VET. And everything inbetween...

Do you want to know what we use, or what we'd recommend for you?
Two completely different things.

You want turbo and VE guys to chime in or N/A DE only?

I have never had any problem with ACT clutches. I would like to see what everyone does recommend tho. Your N/A DE should not even need a 6 puck tho.

Well I have i/h/e +pulleys+increased timing+17"rims(not that that matters) I'm using Greg V stage 2 clutch-b15 disc+pp and I've had no problems with it the last 7000 miles, the 17" rims break free through 3rd gear no problem
.
As fas I'm aware a double sprung disc (like the b15) is much harder to loose a spring I've never had any luck with act clutches myself or anyone I know that puts them in an sr20.
.
If I were you and budget permits I would check out the stage 3 clutch kit from Greg V I've heard of people on here running them with boost at torque ranges higher than the maximum rated amount for that clutch kit

I'm using an act disk and pressure plate rated at 290 ft lbs in my t25 b13. Pedal is stiff as hell, when I get in my regular se-r I almost put my foot through the floor.
