Stuck caliper?
The past week may be 2 I have noticed a long droning sound that happens kind of intermittently and seems to certainly be coming from the passenger side front wheel area. It temporarily stops when i tap the brakes so i am assuming the caliper is possibly dragging or sticking. Any way long story short i was just wanting assurance that this is a correct assumption or there are other possibilities that can be explored before i buy new calipers. Any info is always appreciated.

Pull the pads out and check for abnormal wear.

I didn't go as far as to pull the pads out but i took the wheel off and poked around the rotor could use a turn. The pads looked worn equaling just looking at them with out pulling them out and they still have plenty of meat left. BTW don't know if it matters but car is a 91 se-r with the stock ad18s. Thanks

as in rebuilt the caliper? I was debating on wether or not to do this too but a new one can be had for $40 after core charges refunded.

Feel the caliper after you drive, and feel the other side too. If the one is hotter than the other by a lot you will know it is draggin

Update sort of: I believe like you said taking it apart and cleaning and lubing would have done the trick. I just went a head and replaced the pads and rotors since they were do any way, and that fixed the problem. The caliper was not stuck either which was good.

Thanks to all that replied
