but if you do, quick solution is a layer of window screen, then a layer of pantyhose or thin cloth and clamp it down.

I would just play it safe and get a K&N filter from Serban for $36...

Good thread man!

Look at Calum's Post:

Ok someone really needs to dyno it against the JWT Pop Charger...

If this is true I'll be buying the BPi one

Just got it today. Wonder how much more power over the CAI this give my VE?

One thing's for sure, it's pretty, and it matches!

The most important question is... did the butt dyno see a difference?

Did a butt dyno blast and really didn't feel any difference, HOWEVER, I was running my silencer (1.5"?) in my N1 can (3") so I'm sure my exhaust backpressure wasn't allowing me to take any advantage of a better optimized intake.

That could be it... I didn't feel a difference with the JWT Pop the first day, until I drove with AC on... I was amazed and the power!!! BTW I think it will get better by next week, your ECU will adapt to it

well the 1 that i got from pepboys made a difference throughout the powerband by SOTP. i think you would get good gains due to that theres no object blocking the air way. so its just free flowing air. not only that but it has a nasty growl to go with it.
