Hotter Engine after Spacers?
I wonder if after installing these, and the engine no longer has the intake manifold as a heat sink of sorts to disipate heat with, if the engine itself will run hotter??

Moving this out of the Outlaw Spacer Feedback thread.

That's actually a good question. I think it wont matter because the intake manifold doesn't really see cold fresh air or have a fan on it. Plus a lot of new cars have plastic manifolds.

Yes the block and head are going to have to deal with more heat, but I believe the stock cooling system is plenty adequate to deal with the issue and keep temps under control for N/A setups.

those thing seem like a waste of time and a cause of future problems, like an intake leak....The nuts/bolts are still made out of metal and will still conduct heat, plus it's so damn hot in the engine bay you'd think they would still get hot.

but then again, I'm an na hater :P

Try touching a stock intake after a couple runs without spacers. I can let my hand sit for hours on mine after a few beat laps and it is noticeably cooler. Without a tune you might not see or feel much difference. but having cooler temps entering the head seems like a good idea, for $120 or so i would buy them again.

On a 90*-100*F day yes everything inside the engine bay is hot, Spacers or not. On other days it stays warm to touch instead of burning you like it did before.

NA this might not mean much, boosted, it helps keep the temps low to avoid knock in boost.
