Thread: Can Someone Identify...why my engine makes this sound?

I hear about a whole bunch of clicks..grinds...and stuff peopel describe but without no sound its kinda hrad to describe what is what....i took this video of me startin my p10 and idk if its just a coldstart issue...but yea...listen

its a rattle from your oil pressure FAAALLLIINNNNNN

pull your chain guard off and see if it goes away

to me it sounds like something along the lines of timing chain, i would get a oil pressure gauge and make sure that is good

Your timing chain tensioner is going bad. Mine made the chain rattle that because the sludge would clog the timing chain tensioner up.

my nx makes the same noise that you are talkinh about...actually i think like everyones sr does that.....^^^^^x2 on the tensioner check you timing chain tensionor but the rattling in mine i think is from the timing chain guide....

sounds like a starter issue. if your talking about the palse in the start up.

i'd side with starter...sounds like what my Altima did when the starter was ****ty. I think it was a problem with the gear not gripping properly on the start, but replacing the starter fixed it.
