Thread: SR20s FTW!!!!

There's a lot of other things to take into consideration then numbers. Putting down the power is a lot harder in a lightweight WWD then it is in a RWD vehicle that is set up for power. Look at boostednx's post. Those are VERY minimal mods on the Cobra and they're going to see 10's. What happens when the Cobra owner starts spending serious coin?

These discussions come up every few months and I always attempt to put owners egos in check. There's definitely always someone who is faster but there's also a reason displacement does so well. I imagine there's not many people who have owned more cars then me on this forum. Especially as wide of a variety. That being said with my experience nothing beats out a bigger motor (straight line).

I would say that I have owned as many cars as you... If not more you cant really argue with a mathmatical fact. I see your point i really do. And matt I have read your posts for years. My Sentra dipped into the 10s and I only had 4k in the car. How can you do that with a cobra??? Small motor won there. And before you go saying it didnt run 10s I have several witnesses on here and even took the video to the chicago convention
The only thing that bothers me is if you are so in love with v8s why not sell your 200 and buy a Cobra? I am sure the cobra forum guys will agree with everything you say.

If I was in the position financially a cobra would be sitting in my garage right now. I had the chance to buy my friend's KB equipped for a GOOD price but I couldn't afford it. It made over 600 on pump. 700 was possible with good gas.

I'm not saying you didn't run 10's. I will tell you I saw a guy run 9's for the same amount you spent in a LS1 powered car. He was kicked off of 2 tracks in Florida. I was there for one of them.

I understand it's the SR20 forum (I am an admin) however this is real world and I will continue to remind people as such.

I love the terminator cobras. Always have. motors that have gone into the 1000 whp range without being opened up. Reliable to 700whp or so all day long. And not expensive at all really to build up and make faster than they already are.

There is a local guy here with a 600rwhp cobra that i ran, of course he got the initial jump but i quickly went by him in 4th and on.

They can be really quick cars for really good money and their traction is pretty good even with high hp.

I don't even care about the cobras. Its so depressing because evos are running ****! Got a friend going 10s with a stock evo9 just ic and exhaust! Idk how they do it but that stock turbo is no joke. Making 450s all stock.

not sure what weight your using for the b13 but, for my NX to get 6.4lb/hp I only need 400whp.

LOL at all this Cobra Talk. Step 1: Buy Cobra. Step 2: Go to track. Step 3: Pull up beside Z06 with less WHP Step 4: Get raped! Apply and repeat for Road racing/AutX also.

Cobras are Ugly Cars in my Humble opinion. That and for all the Hp you have to throw at them they still arent that fast and are heavy as **** AND cant handle. Seriously...GT500, what a great Disapointment that was! Sure they make alot of HP. But they weigh so much that they need that **** lol.

Yeah it is. But i was saying a cobra. I had a lightning with a KB on it. I loved it. I am like you and see that there are better platforms out there. But dollar for dollar the porsche 944 turbo is the best car out there.
