CF/FG Parts Discussion Thread
I'm noticing a lot of PM's and questions regarding parts that will be made in the near future. We are almost at the end of the GTS Sides being completed and I wanted to open a discussion thread for any and all questions you all may have.

I am making any and everything that is desired by myself for my car, which is the B13 chassis and along the way, there have been many proposed parts that you all desire as well. He has been very receptive to offering his services to us all and would like me to be the eyes and ears from here to him. He's not very computer savvy and does not want a multitude of calls coming over just yet. I have been there each time he's worked on the GTS sides and he is extremely particular about his work. I've heard many stories of past experiences he's had both good and bad that has resulted in the level of expertise. I can not find any faults in his moral and work ethic and I am going to see the completed sides that will be used for the mold tonight after work.

Other replies from the GTS GB that I may need to clarify:

Something to the effect of Fiberglass GTS Bumper and CF GTS lip combo. Once that gets rolling, I'm going to start looking into front lips b/c I don't know what's up with the CF guy supercowboy is dealing with and am now considering that to be a lost investment. I am also looking at other chassis for ideas and development.

When I mentioned this, it was b/c I had already asked him if for those that do not have GTS bumpers, is it possible to copy the GTS bumper in Fiberglass and make the Carbon lip as a part of it. Ofcourse there would also be an option to do Fiberglass everything, but he seems to like the idea.

I have been in contact with Supercowboy who states he has confidence that he will be able to finish the Front lips for the 4 foggers commited some time ago, but that is for the 8 or 9 ppl that got in then. So I think another run of front lips is in order. There are JDM lips from Panis-ka that have been in circulation and I will call on those individuals when I know he is ready.

Yes, he can wrap stock sides.

This is absolutely correct, I've tried this and it looks like crap. I had to make a piece to fill in the gap in the rear. And the lip curves in b/c of the lack of support that the GTS Rear bumper provides. Picture below of the gap from another thread in the past and is the closest I've seen anyone come to making the USDM bumper and JDM 4 Piece lip work. Mine didn't look like that...lol.

The B13 mudflaps I have are USDM. The idea is to make those and then grind away the excess to use them with GTS sides, since I can not source tru JDM flaps with them being mangled. Also, I've only seen JDM flaps on the Supersaloon rear bumper, never a GTS bumper.

I also have the mirror visors from my turbo B13 that I will be getting made in CF so thank you all for the emails and comments b/c I will be needing help and parts to make this a reality.

Wayne, who is very close by me, has offered to contribute his time to getting some B14 love in the works as well. I will be in contact with him to borrow his car for fitments and trials. An Exalta grill will be in the works.

There are many more ideas and parts than just this but I don't want to completely spill the beans...nor do I want to make any false promises. Everything you see above are things that the owner and I have already discussed through your questions.

- What if we already have a GT-S rear lip that came with the bumper we purchased. Do we have any options to send it to you to be wrapped in CF? That was one thought that crossed my mind. I like having backup parts.

- Hmmmm. This makes me think. How much do you think it would be to wrap, and how different would it look from the sides skirts? I want everything to match. I think I'm just going to go with a full CF rear lip and figure out something to do with extra my rear lip, or just buy another bumper lol.

I will find out tonight about price to wrap already owned sides/rear and I can do one better to see about the difference in look from wrapped CF and real CF. After the mold is made from the completed sides, I will ask him to wrap the perfect ones used to make the mold; so that when the real CF ones get pulled for my first set, I can do a side by side comparison. Sound good?

Roger,

I have a set or rear JDM flaps that are near mint. I also have a rear GTS bumper and the flaps will not fit on the GTS rear due to the lip being in the way. The flaps will only work on the non-GTS rear bumpers.

I have a brand new OEM GTS rear bumper skin if you need something that is true. I have to find it though lol.

So by this I take it that they did not make OEM GTS flaps. I am interested in making this now that I have further confirmation. As far as I know, Kevin is the only person that cut the flaps to clear his sides and rear and I like how it looks.

SeenSense, I should be ok on the GTS bumper skin as both my cars have this bumper. Thank you for the gesture.
