When I got my car there was oil on the top of the spark plugs and on the bottom as well. Changed the valve cover gasket along with the spark plug o rings using RTV as well. Fixed the problem of the oil being anywhere on the spark plugs.

i have to go find a compression tester so i can do that but when it finally started it didnt feel like it lost much if any power

So I'm better off with a little bit of RTV on the O rings in the valve cover then getting new ones? Does this count for NA engines?

if you arent getting any negative effects from the smoke then likly its not a hg or ring issue
